Business-to-Business E-Commerce: Concepts, Solutions and Standards

This talk is an introductory survey on B2B e-commerce with a particular emphasis on the aspects of security and privacy. I will first introduce a few essential B2B concepts, describe the general mechanisms used in B2B infrastructures and present a set of requirements for an ideal’B2B infrastructure. The second part of the talk addresses the important issue of ensuring security and privacy in B2B infrastructures. Some notions, protocols and techniques for securing B2B interactions are presented. In the third part of the talk, I will survey some of the B2B standards and evaluate their approaches to addressing the security concerns in B2B e-commerce.
