I am actually interested in everything that has something to do with Science or Engineering, in particular:

Within the Computer Science and Computer Engineering I am mainly interested on:

Theory of Computation and Algorithms
Distributed and Parallel Systems
Information Retrieval
Software Engineering

Out of the educational side, I am also interested in music and I am the author of a blog called Caerolus, which is about science, technology, Internet, mathematics, funny stuff, etc.

Research Topics

My research activities are currently focused on three main aspects:

Music Information Retrieval and everything related to the digital management of music, specially metrics and music retrieval by content.
Software Engineering, mainly focused on the reuse and metrics of software.
Research Methods.
