Short Bio

In September of 2001 Julián started his studies in Computer Engineering at the University Carlos III of Madrid. From 2002 to 2004 he was a collaborator within the Department of Computer Science, and in January of 2005 he obtained a grant within the Department of Telematics.

In 2006 the European Union awarded Julián with an Erasmus Grant to study in the Åland Polytechnic at Finland. Finally, in December of 2006 he finished his studies and obtained the title of Bilingual Computer Engineer. His thesis, Modeling and Indexing Musical Files to Allow Music Reuse, awarded honors from the tribunal.

Since January of 2007, Julián is a PhD student in Computer Science at Virginia Tech. As part of his Graduate Research Assistantship, he works within the Research Methods Consortium in the National Capital Region.
